About Don

smalldonabout.jpgFor decades, Don shared his gift of music as a professional singer. He studied voice at the University of Louisville and his early work included both chorus and lead roles at the Stephen Foster Story State Historical Site in Bardstown, KY. Longtime residents of Louisville, KY will remember Don as the Crusade King for the WHAS-TV Crusade for Children.

Don also went on to receive rave reviews during his 25-year tenure as Lead Tenor with the Kentucky Opera Association under the direction of the great Moritz Bombard. He performed lead roles in stage plays such as Kismet and Knickerbocker Holiday and was two-time winner of the District Opera Auditions for the Metropolitan Opera of New York City. He was also a finalist in the Chicago Metropolitan Opera Auditions.
